What is a Fractional CPO?

A senior product leader who works with your company part-time, typically 2–3 days per week, for a defined period. You get CPO-level experience, decision-making, and leadership without the full-time cost, commitment, or time-to-hire of a full-time executive. I set product and growth strategy with founders, manage and mentor your PMs and designers, connect product work to revenue and retention, represent product at board and investor level, and, when you're ready, define what permanent leadership looks like and hire your full-time replacement.

When would I work with a Fractional CPO?

When your company is at an inflection point and needs senior product leadership now, not in 6 months. Common triggers: you're scaling and the founders can't manage product anymore. You're entering a new market. You're preparing for fundraising, M&A, or an exit. Your product team exists but isn't driving business outcomes. You've lost your product leader and need someone experienced while you hire permanently.

What types of projects do you take on?

I run focused projects with clear scope and fixed pricing. The most common are: Growth strategy and audit: end-to-end review of your product, customer journey, conversion funnels, decision-making, and team setup, resulting in a prioritised action plan. AI implementation: practical recommendations on where AI and automation can accelerate your product, reduce costs, or open new channels. Team performance and hiring: defining roles, org design, writing job specs, and running hiring processes for product and tech leadership. Conversion and growth acceleration: deep dive into funnels, subscription health, churn, and growth metrics vs industry standards, identifying the compound improvements that move the numbers. Many clients start with a project and move into a longer engagement once we've identified the bigger opportunities.

How long do engagements take?

It depends on the shape. Audits and assessments typically take 1–3 weeks. Due diligence runs 1–2 weeks. Team structure and hiring projects run 2–4 weeks. Fractional CPO engagements run 3–12 months. Some companies keep me on in an advisory capacity after the core engagement ends.

Which industries and business models do you work with?

SaaS, marketplaces, healthtech, edtech, fintech, and adtech. B2B, B2C, and B2B2C. I work best with mission-driven companies that have real traction and a product that works, but need senior leadership to unlock the next phase of growth. I've worked across subscription, transactional, and platform business models, and bring particular depth in marketplaces and AI-driven products.

What stage of company do you work with?

Typically companies with 50–150 people, roughly 2M–20M ARR, between Seed and Series C. You've found product-market fit but need experienced product leadership to scale, whether that's professionalising the product function, improving conversion, expanding into new markets, or preparing for investment. I've also worked with larger organisations through M&A and post-merger integration.

How does a Fractional CPO differ from a consultant?

A consultant typically delivers a report or recommendation and moves on. As a Fractional CPO, I'm embedded in your team: attending standups, joining leadership meetings, working directly with your PMs and engineers, and accountable for outcomes, not just advice. I operate as a member of your leadership team, not an external advisor.

Where are you based? Do you work remotely?

I'm based in Berlin and work with companies across Europe and North America. Most engagements are primarily remote with regular on-site time, especially at the start. I'm flexible on structure. We'll find what works for your team.

What does a typical first week look like?

I start with a focused discovery sprint: stakeholder interviews, data review, product and process audit, and team conversations. By the end of the first week, I'll have a clear picture of what's working, what's not, and a proposed plan for the engagement. No long ramp-up. I'm built to be productive from day one.

Do you do angel investments?
